From the Principal: 5/3/19

Dear Greenwood Families,

You know you’ve about had it with rainy weather when you find yourself saying, “Well, at least it’s just cloudy!” When I clicked on the 10-day forecast to see what we have in store, the best I could do was look at it, close the browser tab, and slowly back away from the computer. Luckily this is New England, and it can all change in an instant! Even if everyone was limited to indoor activities, I hope that your family had a chance to do some fun and relaxing things this past weekend. I'm sure there were some Star Wars fans celebrating on Saturday...because, as they say, “May the fourth be with you."

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! The Greenwood School community is fortunate to have so many amazing and caring adults supporting children each and every day. Our educators and staff members are talented and highly committed to both the social-emotional and the educational needs of our students. Our goal is for each student to continually grow and achieve! I am honored to work with this team of educators and staff members and thank them for everything they do to make Greenwood a great place to be!

3rd Grade Arbor Day Contest

The Wakefield DPW held a poster contest for Arbor Day with our Greenwood 3rd graders. Students were asked to make a poster that celebrates trees, including ways to care for them and how they are important to us. After a review of posters by the staff at Town Hall, Lucy Milsky and Adrianna Chesna were selected as the winners! Each of them will have the opportunity to have a tree planted at their home. Don’t worry though...all students received a packet of flower seeds to celebrate their efforts.

(Can you tell it was Character Day?)

Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning!
