Dear Greenwood Families,
Happy Monday! It feels like we should be talking about Thanksgiving this week...but not yet! We do have a lot of other things happening this week, including the Family Folk Dance Night on Tuesday and the Learn Anywhere Dry Run on Wednesday. (You can check last week’s Gator Tales for more information about both of those items.) Some of you may also be involved in Wakefield Town Meeting tonight—check out more information from the Greenwood PTO here. Busy, busy!
School Picture Retakes
If you would like another chance at that picture-perfect moment, school picture retakes will happen on Tuesday, November 19th. Please have your child bring their original photos back to school on that day. If your child was absent on Picture Day, there are extra forms in the office that can be filled out.
Greenwood School Council Meeting
The next meeting of the Greenwood School Council is on Thursday, November 21st at 7:45am. Please feel free to reach out to the School Council parent representatives (Liz Parsons and Heather McCarthy) with questions or feedback, or you can contact me directly. A meeting summary will be shared in Gator Tales after each meeting.
PTO Community Outreach — Coat Drive
The Greenwood PTO is collecting gently-used coats (both adult- and child-sized) for the Coats for Kids project. Coats will be cleaned free of charge by Anton’s Cleaners and distributed to those in need of warm winter clothing. The collection box can be found in the hallway near the office. While the Coat Drive runs through Friday, January 10th, donations will be picked up weekly in order to get coats into circulation as quickly as possible. Let’s help people stay warm this winter!
Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning - let’s have a great week!
