Dear Greenwood Families,
Happy Monday! I’d like to give a HUGE shout-out to our PTO AuthorFest Committee, headed up by Danielle Lueger, for the amazing author visits enjoyed by Greenwood students last week. She and her team did a great job securing authors that would engage students at each grade level, organizing each day so that it would run smoothly, and giving kids and teachers a fantastic opportunity to explore new books. If you want to be a part of the action for next year (it’s never too early to start thinking about it!), reach out to the Greenwood PTO and get involved!
Early Release - Wednesday, March 30
Our next early release day for students is on Wednesday, March 30th. All students will be dismissed at 11:55am in order for teachers to hold conferences either virtually or in-person with families. Please note: there will be a scheduled lunch block for students prior to dismissal.
Conferences
Although the scheduled conference days are far from the only times that teachers and families connect to share information about how things are going at school, these days are a high priority on our schedules! If you have not yet made a conference appointment with your child’s teacher, please do so. There will be many conversations taking place during the afternoons of March 30th and April 6th, as well as during the evening conference block on Wednesday, April 6th. Whether virtual or in-person, be there!
Lunch Survey - April
We will be sending the lunch survey for the month of April directly to families via School Messenger on Tuesday. (Please note: Friday, April 1st was part of the previous survey.) Thank you for helping us keep our lunch counts as accurate as possible!

Updated Health Reminder
Thank you to everyone for their efforts that have allowed us to have in-person, full-time school this year! While we are now in a place where masking is optional, it is important to remember that COVID does still exist. We continue to ask you to keep children home if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.0 or higher, chills, or shaking chills
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
New loss of taste or smell
Muscle aches or body aches
Cough (not due to other known cause such as chronic cough, asthma, allergies)
Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
Headache, when in combination with other symptoms
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, when in combination with other symptoms
Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such as allergies) when in combination with other symptoms
Our school nurse, Mrs. Doherty, is always happy to answer any questions you may have or provide clarification.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions. Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning! Let’s have a great week!
