Greenwood’s fall BOKS session will run before school on Wednesdays and Fridays, October 5-28th, weather permitting. BOKS is a free, before-school, fitness program designed to give kids a body and brain boost that will set them up for a day of learning. Run by parent volunteers, the national program is designed to get kids active and establish a lifelong commitment to health and fitness. “We are on a mission to make physical activity and play part of every child’s day.”
Volunteers are needed! Volunteers are asked to make a 1x or 2x a week commitment to help lead a 45 minute fitness/nutrition session before school. Training will be provided! This is an awesome opportunity to make a huge difference, with a minimal time commitment! If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Karen Hall and Liz Parsons, Greenwood BOKS Coordinators, at Greenwoodboks@gmail.com.
Registration for the BOKS program will begin Monday, September 26th, on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots will be limited to the number of children that we can safely accommodate. Registration information will be sent out in next week’s Gator Tales.
