From the Principal: Welcome Back

Dear Greenwood Families,

We’ve rounded the corner past Labor Day...now the countdown is really and truly on! This is the first of my weekly principal messages to all families, and it is how the school keeps you informed about current events, upcoming events, and all-around important information. If you read the weekly Gator Tales e-newsletter and the classroom communications from your child’s teacher, you will be ready to go!

First Day of School
We can’t wait to see everyone on the morning of Thursday, September 5th! Grades 1-4 will begin lining up behind the school at 8:30am and enter the building after the 8:35am bell. We will meet our new Kindergarten students at 10:00am behind the school to begin their Greenwood adventures. The PTO will host a small reception for Kindergarten families after the children enter the building with the teachers.

School-Home Communication
I hope that everyone received our “welcome back” letter via School Messenger last Wednesday. It is crucial for us to be able to reach you for important information and messages from the school. Please let the office know if you are not receiving these messages, and we will make sure you are updated on the list!

Useful Websites

Greenwood Back to School Night
Since it’s never too early to put dates on our busy calendars, please note that Greenwood’s Back-to-School Night will be held on Tuesday, September 17th. More details about the evening time frame will be sent out in an upcoming issue of Gator Tales.

It’s going to be a great year!  We’re ready, and we hope you are as well! Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning!
