AuthorFest Returns to Greenwood in April

The sixteenth annual AuthorFest will to roll into Greenwood School April 9 – 13. AuthorFest is a week full of fascinating author visits. These author/illustarators engage with the children and share insights on how they developed, illustrated, and edited their books. They also lead interactive activities with our students. What better way to send the kids off to April vacation than to have them spend time with nationally recognized children’s authors and illustrators? 

The AuthorFest planning committee has been busy all school year making sure that AuthorFest 2018 is a blast. This year, we will welcome three author/illustrators into our school: grades four and one will be captivated by Brian Lies, the third graders will be inspired by Matt Tavares, and our kindergarten and second grade students will share a laugh with Marty Kelley.

We are excited to provide an opportunity to purchase signed books from our authors. All books listed are available for purchase and will be inscribed and signed by the authors to the child of your choice.  Books can be ordered from all authors, not just the one visiting your child’s classroom. Also consider purchasing one for another child in your life--signed books make great gifts! Please specify the name to be inscribed on each. Completed order forms must be returned to the Greenwood PTO by Friday, March 23.
