From the Principal

All things are difficult before they are easy.

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday October 31st our K-2 ghosts and goblins will participate in a Halloween parade around the outside of school at 2:15 pm. Please send your children's costumes with them to school in their backpacks. Families are welcome to join us.

The first day of parent/teacher conferences is Wednesday, November 8 during the afternoon, and evening conferences will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm. The second day of conferences will be Wednesday, November 15 during the afternoon. Both days will be early release days for students.  I will send an email next week with the dates/times our specialists will be available for Greenwood families.

Parent/teacher conferences are important to your child’s academic and social development. This partnership between parent and teacher is key in helping your child grow as a learner and a member of our school community. Unfortunately, they are also very short meetings. I encourage families to come to conferences prepared with questions or concerns you have about your child as a learner. Teachers will, of course, be prepared to share with you your child’s progress, but it’s also a time for you to share observations and insights you have about your child that you feel are important for the classroom teacher and specialists to know.

Have a great week!
