Engineering Design Process

We encourage students to follow the Engineering Design Process to design and create their balloon.

Imagine/Brainstorm: What kind of balloon would you create for the parade (a character, favorite food, favorite animal, etc.)?

Design: Sketch your balloon and think about what materials you will use to create your balloon, and what fasteners you will use (tape, glue).

Create/Build: Blow up your balloon and use the craft materials to create your balloon.

Test & Revise if Needed: Does your balloon look like you want it to? Do you need to use a different material? A different fastener?

Share!: Add a picture of your balloon to our Padlet so it can be part of our virtual parade!
