Thanks to support from the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF) and the staff and students of the third and fourth grades, the Greenwood garden flourished with fresh produce all summer. Fueled by the passion of garden director Sara Carpenter, children continued to get dirty, explore the earth, and learn about an ecosystem.
The Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry benefited from donations of lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, basil, and tomatoes. The students were excited to completing the garden chores and contribute to the great Wakefield community.
