From the Principal

“Allow children to be happy in their own way, for what better way will they find?”

— Samuel Johnson

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to the Gator Gallop committee for another successful event. All your hard work is sincerely appreciated. It was wonderful to see that a little snow and wind could not dampen the spirit of all the runners! Thank you to all the families who came out to support this wonderful fundraiser for our school!

Please note Wednesday April 5th is an early release day for students as we continue with Parent/Teacher conferences, lunch will be served. There are also Thursday evening conferences scheduled for April 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

On Tuesday evening, April 4th we will be honoring the following people at the Celebration of Learning ceremony for their outstanding support for our students and school: Jen Moon, Jenn Baldwin (parent volunteers); Marie Paiva and Corine Keyes (staff members) and four fourth grade students nominated by their peers for best representing our school’s core values; Kevin DeGray, Dina Deleidi, Casey Hotz and Yash Patel. Congratulations to all!

Mark your calendars, Wakefield International Night will take place on Friday, April 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Galvin Middle School, sponsored by the Wakefield Public Schools and METCO program. The evening will feature the international food, artifacts, flags traditional clothing, music and dance from the diverse cultural heritages of the Wakefield community!
