From the Principal

“You have to get in before you can win”.

Dear Families,

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. The first annual PTO meeting will take place Tuesday evening October 10th  at 7:00 p.m. in the Greenwood library. This is a great way to meet other families and learn how the PTO helps to enrich our students’ learning experience at the Greenwood School. I hope to see many of you there. The first School Council meeting will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm prior to the PTO meeting in the school library. Thank you to Michelle Sorrenti and Rochelle Robino for volunteering to be our parent representatives on the School Council.

Parents, I have had some reports that during drop off parents are not putting their cars in park and they are rolling forward toward the crosswalk while watching students enter the playground. Please keep your eyes straight ahead after dropping students so that you are fully aware of this very busy crosswalk intersection for the safety of our students, parents and crossing guard. Thank you for your cooperation with this important safety request.

On Wednesday October 11th student will participate in our annual evacuation drill to Most Blessed Sacrament with the support of the fire department and police department. We practice this drill annually so that students know where we go in the unlikely event our school needs to be evacuated.

A reminder that school picture day will be this Thursday October 12th.

Have a great week!

Regards,
Deb Collura
