Dear Greenwood Families,
Happy Monday and welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed having a few days off. We’re ready to get back into our teaching and learning schedules for the always-busy weeks before December break...although I’m not entirely ready to start setting my alarm clock again!
December Conferences
Looking ahead, virtual elementary conferences for teachers and parents/guardians will be scheduled on Wednesday, December 9th and Wednesday, December 16th.
AM and PM cohorts will meet at their regularly-scheduled times on 12/9 and 12/16.
Specialist classes will take place as scheduled on both days.
The evening conference block is scheduled for 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, December 9th.
Teachers will be sending out more information about sign-ups soon (if they haven’t already).. We’re looking forward to it!
Grab & Go Lunch Update
It has been great to see so many students participating in the Grab & Go lunch program! As a reminder, a federal funding grant is providing free school lunches for any student for the entire 20-21 school year.
It is very important that we have accurate numbers for how many lunches we will need on a given day, as meals are prepared off-site and delivered to Greenwood prior to the AM cohort dismissal each day. We definitely don’t want to run out of meals, but we also don’t want to have lots of extras still sitting around when the day is done.
The lunch survey for the remainder of December/beginning of January will be sent out via School Messenger by Wednesday. If you did not sign up on the last survey and your child is in need of a lunch this week, please contact Ms. Paiva or me directly.
Technology Support
Please email the WPS Tech Department at technology@wpsk12.org if your child is in need of technology support while at home.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions. Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning!
