Dear Greenwood Families,
Happy Monday! Although we have a short week ahead of us, there will be, as always, a lot happening in classrooms and around the building before we all take a short pause to enjoy time off with family and friends. Whether you’re hosting a dinner, traveling to other locales, or just spending some time relaxing, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
Early Release - Wednesday, November 23rd
Our next early release day for students is on Wednesday, November 23rd. All students will be dismissed at 11:55am. There will be no lunches served on this day.
No School - Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th
All Wakefield Public Schools offices and school buildings will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving break.
More Lost, More Found
While we were able to do some reuniting, there are still many jackets and sweatshirts in the lost & found. One question that came up after an unsuccessful search was about whether it was possible that a jacket could have found its way home to another family by accident. Definitely possible! If you have found yourself in possession of a clothing item that does not belong to your child, please send it back to school so we can try and get items to their proper owners. Thanks!

Greenwood School Council
Last Thursday, the Greenwood School Council got together for our second meeting of the school year. The group spent some time debriefing Back to School Night and Conferences, discussing preliminary areas of interest for next year’s school budget, and hearing about current issues being talked about by families. The parent representatives on this year’s School Council are Marlena Maier and Heather McCarthy (both 3rd Grade parents). If you have issues you’d like them to bring to Council for discussion when we next meet in January, definitely reach out!
