Support a Greenwood Student in the Gator Gallop
Eleven years ago, the Greenwood School PTO organized the first Gator Gallop as our main fundraiser. It consists of a Kids’ 1M Fun Run and a chip-timed 5K run/walk. In addition to being the main fundraiser for the Greenwood School, the Gator Gallop is an amazing community event with entertainment, music, and vendors at Wakefield's beautiful Lake Quannapowitt.
We are excited to welcome students and the greater Wakefield community for the 11th annual Gator Gallop on Saturday, April 6, 2024!
Student Pledge Drive: Donate Now!
Greenwood students are encouraged to collect pledge donations for their participation in the Gator Gallop. In addition to raising funds to support their school, they can also earn race entry incentives and prizes (see chart below). All pledges are a flat rate for the student's participation in the 1-mile Fun Run and/or the 5K. This year's pledge drive runs from March 1-10th.
Cash and check pledges are due, along with students’ race registration/waiver, by March 11th, but online pledge payments will be accepted through April 6th.
Ninety percent of the money students raise will go to the Greenwood School, to support innovative programming, cultural arts enrichment, and student events throughout the year; ten percent will go to the Wakefield Educational Foundation.
The Greenwood School PTO, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and we appreciate your donation. You can support a Greenwood student by clicking the donate button to the right. When making your payment, please include the name of the student who should receive credit for your pledge.
If you'd like to participate in the Gator Gallop 5K yourself, please register online at www.GatorGallop.com. Early birds get a free race shirt with registration!
