Compost your pumpkins! The Environmental Sustainability Committee of Wakefield is working with the schools in Wakefield, PTOs, and School Recycling Clubs to compost as many pumpkins as we can following Halloween.
On the morning of November 5, bring your pumpkins to school and leave them on the tarp outside. Black Earth Compost will pick them up and turn them into nutrient-rich compost.
No paint or glitter on pumpkins, please.
