This highly anticipated Scholastic Book Fair not only provides an opportunity for your student to get some great reading selections for summer, it also features a “buy one, get one of equal or lesser value free” sale. The Book Fair will be at our school from April 24-28. Read on to see how you can make the most of this event and volunteer to help out.

• How do I prepare? This Thursday, Scholastic booklets will be sent home with each child. These feature most of the books that will be available at the fair. It’s a good idea to have your child browse the booklet and select several options, both first choices and backups, as some titles may sell out or not be provided to us for the event. It’s also a great idea to send students with the list of books they chose from the Scholastic booklet to make their shopping time easier.
• How does my student pay for the books? Review the below schedule and send your children to school with payment on their purchase days. Adult volunteers will be present to assist in selection and payment. You can send in cash, or a check made out to the Greenwood School PTO. Some parents choose to send children with a blank check made to the PTO for the volunteers to fill out based on the student’s purchase total. Change will be provided on cash sales.
• What if my child can’t make it? Note that there are early and late shopping days should you wish to accompany your child or if he or she cannot make his scheduled shopping time. You are able to use credit, in addition to cash and check, during early and late times.

We will need parent volunteers at this PTO-sponsored event to help the children navigate their selections, run the cash registers, and set up and break down the displays.
