The Scholastic Book Fair will be at the Greenwood School from October 23 to October 27. This is a great opportunity for our young readers to browse a large selection of age-appropriate books and purchase ones that spark their interests.
The fair is held in our school's front hallway on the dates and times listed below. Each child will come home in the coming days with an FAQ sheet about how the fair runs, a highlight of some books for sale, and a teacher wish list.
We also need parent volunteers to help the children as they visit the fair, run the cash registers, manage teacher wish lists, set up the fair, and tear down and pack up after. Do you have an hour or two you can spare sometime during the week?
To volunteer, please sign up here.

Here's what you need to know to make this a fun event for your child:
- Students will visit the fair with their classes; once to preview the fair selections, and another to purchase (if they choose). We also have a make up day once all the classes have shopped.
- On Wednesday, there will be an opportunity for both early morning and after school shopping. See the posted schedule for details.
- The fair takes cash, checks, and credit cards. All checks must be made out to the Greenwood School PTO.
- Volunteers will assist students at the fair with selection and purchases. If you would like to be a volunteer, sign up here.
- Teachers also prepare a ‘class library’ wish list. Families can purchase books for their children's teachers. All teacher wishlist books will be identified and set aside for purchase.
